In parallel with the public consultations and citizen exchanges of HABITATS, there was also the desire to create a group of citizens from all walks of life who would form a permanent think tank throughout the forum.

The Canadian-German cellule mère was therefore born from our close partnership with the Goethe Institute in Montreal.

Composed of citizens, artists, scientists and thinkers in constant interaction with the general public, the cellule will discuss actions, works and partnerships which will come to embody the mission of Habitats, making it possible to find forms to open up discussion and take concrete action on the issues of aging.

The participants were selected following a call launched in various networks last June based on the themes addressed in their artistic practice or their professional and/or civic involvement on issues related to the forum. The members of the cellule mère have met for a first series of discussions on October 2 and 3.
