Julien Simard holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the Université de Montréal and a PhD in Urban Studies from INRS-UCS. For his degree, he realized an ethnography in a Quebec hospice. His doctoral thesis examined the issues faced by older tenants in Montreal. Julien Simard is a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University’s School of Social Work and is also a lecturer in the Gerontology Certificate of the Faculty of Continuing Education of the Université de Montréal and in the Department of Geography of the same institution.
